TERRORISM & INSECURITY

TERRORISM & INSECURITY

11:13 am

Like a shadow, terrorism has always been the core of all destruction in Pakistan, which never sought its way to be solved but rather made its way deep into the roots. With ongoing operation that started last year, from North Waziristan to Karachi and now to Balochistan, even though the security situation has improved but at the same time it still needs to fill in the gaps that lies open to be filled with more violence. Especially after framing National Action Plan the government is making an ample amount of effort towards implementing these policies but the security situation still lies to be open for the hate mongers to penetrate. The security loop holes and lack of management, the government is still unable to sew upon the idea of making the policies that are too late and little.

Recently an attack on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in Badaber area Peshawar, where 29 soldiers were martyred while 13 terrorist were killed led the whole country into mourning again. Even though its hard and being optimistic have been equivalent to zero, but then the probing more violence and extremism has developed more immunity within people, which means that people are developing more sense of acceptance towards these kinds of attacks and violence. But most importantly the security lapses and gaps that have created a gap of insecurity within the system and between law enforcing agencies, these insecurities have changed a whole pattern of behavior within people that is creating negativity within in community, society or even nation.

Thus the contiguous environment of Pakistan, which has evolved with time and space but the foreign policy remains rigid towards certain issues. The tension on the borders, with escalated attacks and the revenge which these countries dwell upon has scrutinized the identity of both these countries. As especially for Pakistan this remains a matter to be dealt with great sobriety while constructing a plan and strategy that pulls out terrorism from its grass root level. The security levels of the nation is under question especially after the Badaber attack in Peshawar, breaking the chain of reliability and abandoning the swift action, defining that there is still something missing, while implementing a proper security procedures. The excruciating image has made Pakistan to face downfall, but no matter what the context the situation is yet to be determined so it can be changed as we witness few changes within the system that raised hopes for the people. Considerably a lot needs to be done before we see a revolutionized Pakistan, which depicts a complete different picture and as we pray and stand united in this mission, cause it is our duty.
